Working as a photographer in Mallorca is a gift really: the landscapes are amazing and the weather is quite reliable. Yes, ever so often you get a surprise and the sun goes in when it should be out, or the other way around. But this time of year (January/February) is a good time to work on a new site for my photography business as things are a bit quieter round here: for the most part of the month Majorca is still on holiday, firstly there is an extended Christmas break as schoolchildren don't go back until after the Epiphany when the three wise men come into town, bringing with them gifts for baby Jesus, and all the other children in Mallorca. Then the following week there are the St Antoni celebrations where on one night (normally the Saturday closest to January 17th) everyone gathers to barbecue sausages, ribs and burgers, and then the following morning get together again to bless the animals with a parade . (Slightly perverse if you're a veggie for sure, but it's great). Then after that there are the St Sebastian celebrations in Palma which run until about January 21st with live music, dimonis, fireworks, more barbecues and PLENTY of crazy. So before the 300 days of sunshine locks in for the year and everyone returns to work and the phone starts ringing again I'm trying to make a new site. Welcome, I hope you find something here to inspire you.
